SELF-ASSESSMENT

I think I have learned to be sure of myself and love the proyects that we have done and the lessons aren't borring..I think that I have improved some things about English and the blog confuse me a little.The things that we do in English outside the class are heard songs and also watch a movie in English but with subtitles because it is a little hard to understand.I need to improve a little the translation.I learnt some things like homophones, the crimens and criminals, the life of Marco Polo and Roald Amudsen....

The primary sector consists of economic activities that obtain resources from nature. Those activities are: agriculture, livestock, forestry, fishing and mining.

Criminals:

-Armed robber:the person who stealing the properties of other people
-burglar:a person who commits burglary.
-Detective:A person, usually a member of a police force, who investigates crimes and obtains evidence or information.
-fraudster: a swindler
-Judge:A public official who hears and decides cases brought in court.
-lawyer:One whose profession is to give legal advice and assistance to clients and represent them in court or in other legal matters.
-Mugger:One who commits a mugging
-murderer:One who commits murder.
-Police officer:A policeman or policewoman
-private investigator:A person privately hired to do investigative or detective work
-Thief:One who commits the act or crime of theft.
-traffic warden:a person who is appointed to supervise road traffic and report traffic offences

Crimes:

-Arson:The crime of intentionally and illegally setting fire to a building or other structure
-blackmail:Extortion of money or something else of value from a person by the threat of exposing a criminal act or discreditable information.
-Burglary:The act of entering another's premises without authorization in order to commit a crime, such as theft.

Economic activity: is what is carried out by humans in order  to acquiere goods(products and services) that satisfy consumer needs

Services: are the activities carried out by humans to benefit society
Products are goods obtained directly from nature or that have been turned into something

Factors of production: are the resources needed for creating economic goods

Economic agents are those elements that have a role in converting the factors of production into goods and services(State,Companies and Peolpe and Families)

Economic activities are grouped into 3 sectors: Primary, Second and Tertiary sector
The current systems:

-Capitalist economy:This is based on a free market economy, freedom to work and hire, private property means of production, and State intervention on a small scale
-Communist economy:The economy is planned and centralised by the state
-Subsistence economy: This is  based on production for self-consumption in the poorest and most isolated areas in the world

Africa is the continent in the south of Europe and in the southwestern of Asia

Africa is 3 times larger than the United States

3.How is the savanna defined in the video?
The savanna is a grassy plain which covers nearly half of Africa

4.Which animals can be found in the savanna biome?
The animals that can be found in the savanna biome are the giraffes and the elephants

5.Where is located the chaparral biome in Africa?
The Chaparral biome is located in the northern coast of Africa and at the South of Africa

6.Which are the most famous deserts in Africa?
The most famous deserts in Africa are the Sahara,the Namib and the Kalahari

7.The main natural resources mentioned in the video are: gold mines,oil and the Robert trees

1_Africa runs 5 000 miles from the Mediterranean sea all the way down to cape of Good Hope  and 4 600 miles from cape Verde all the way over to Somalia

2.      Biomes are climate zones and throughout that area, throughout that climate zones, you can see the same average temperature and average precipitation what that means is that you also see very similar fauna and vegetation living in that region.

3.      The most famous desert in Africa is, of course, the Sahara desert. Now, some parts of the Sahara desert are sandy like you can see here. Other parts of the Sahara desert are rocky but in either case, the fact that it is very dry is going to make it a very difficult barrier to cross.

4.      It is not the rain itself that’s particularly important, it’s also the biodiversity .There are many different plants and animal species.That can be found in the rain forest   and that’s one of the thing that makes the rain forest so valuable not just in Africa but throughout the Earth.

5.      The Nile is the most famous river in Africa, because is the longest river in the world. But there is also the Congo river which is the ninth longest river in the world.

6.      Africa actually has its own version of the great lakes with famous lakes like Lake Tanganyika, lake Malawi and lake Victoria

7.      All the Africa is a plateau. Meaning that Africa itself is an elevated land. But that doesn’t mean you can’t find any mountains in Africa. You can find mountain ranges like, for example, the Atlas mountains in northwestern Africa.

8.      Africa also has some interesting mountains like Kilimanjaro mountain, the highest peak in Africa which seems to just rise on it own out of the ground

9.      The Great Rift Valley refers to a region of Africa that is  literally, being split apart. There are some tectonic plates that are located within or near Africa, that are, actually, moving away from each other, and what’s doing is creating not just some of the highest elevations in Africa, but also lakes like Tanganyika that is among the deapest in the world
